Kitty Hollow Park was the first step in solar project oversight by Architect for Life. After providing project oversight for 30 solar systems and 33 solar fixtures by Alternative Power Solutions, successful quarterly savings of 16206 kWh or 64824 kWh annually was calculated.
Since Kitty Hollow, solar has expanded throughout Fort Bend County to Mustang Park, South Post Oak, Barbara Jordan Park, Bates Allen Park, Kendleton Park & Ride and the Bates Allen Historical Museum. Also, the newer Precinct 3 Administration Building now has a beautiful aesthetic addition with solar uplights lining the tree-lined driveway at dusk. All total savings for the entire Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant funding are calculated to be 122494 kWh saved annually for lighting eight county-owned and operated facilities.
